From our beginning, Eli’s Coffee Shop has always been about one thing: Connecting people and their communities together. That calling is still with us today, woven into the fabric of our business. We are so proud of our drinks, bakery, and deli and strive every day to serve them in the highest quality but those things are a means to an end. They are the vehicle by which we bring people together. People have a choice on where they get their morning coffee, where they pick up a sweet treat, or grab a quick lunch. We are one of many different options. People choose Eli’s though, because of that connection they receive and our commitment to our local communities. Our baristas know your name. They know your favorite drink. Each month we donate to a local organization, and serve as a meeting place, open seven days a week for people to enjoy. Eli’s is a fixture of our communities and that’s something that we’re so proud of while still humbled by the responsibility.
In this spirit of connecting people and communities together, we’re so happy to finally announce that we will be brining Eli’s to a new community this spring! We will be opening a new shop in the town of Metamora, in the building previously occupied by Historic Grounds. The building, located on the Metamora Square, is a beautiful space, built in the late 1800’s as a general store. The exposed brick, original wood floors, and high ceilings make for an inviting space that we know you’ll fall in love with. We’re so excited to invest into the Metamora community by providing new jobs, serving our delicious coffee, from-scratch treats, fresh deli selection, and serving as a meeting place, seven days a week.
If you haven’t heard of Eli’s yet and want to learn more about our values, I encourage you to look at our website. If you haven’t stopped into either our Morton or Tremont shop yet, we would love to see you. Finally, if you want to connect with us and see what we’re up to, you can follow us on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram.
This announcement has been a long time in the making and it brings us so much joy to finally share it with you. Be on the lookout for updates regarding construction and our opening date! We hope to see you all at the new shop this spring!
