HUB Manager

As our HUB Manager, you’ll oversee the Eli’s HUB team and ensure that our high expectations for product quality, inventory management, and facility care are being met.

You’ll be responsible for managing the schedule and task lists for our bakery and deli prep teams, ensuring that the HUB is stocked with ingredients, and overseeing the regular deliveries out to each shop.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of Bakers and Deli Prep team members to expertly craft our from-scratch baked goods and fresh deli items, ensuring the highest quality, thorough consistency, and best taste.
  • Ensure that the HUB is fully stocked with every item needed for normal operations, including fulfilling orders from each shop twice weekly.
  • Manage a rolling inventory of products stocked at the HUB, including submitting orders to vendors, communication to sales representatives, managing purchase orders, and unloading deliveries.
  • Maintain a communication channel with Shop Managers and Shop Supervisors regarding their twice weekly deliveries and feedback on quality of products received.
  • Ensure that daily task lists are being followed and that the HUB equipment and facility stays clean, organized, and ready for inspections.
  • Conduct employee reviews of all staff at your shop.
  • Conduct periodic meetings with staff.
  • Be a helpful resource for Bakers and Deli Prep team members, answering questions or concerns.
  • Conduct hiring and training of new employees.
  • Create and manage the HUB’s shift schedule.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate Cost of Goods numbers and pricing across our systems.
  • Complete any other duties as assigned by owners.

Requirements

  • Be a genuinely happy person, joyful to serve our customers in a way that’s felt but not directly seen.
  • 3-5 years of professional kitchen or management experience, with the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of baking and cooking essentials.
  • Ability to work full-time, including possible hours during mornings, evenings, and weekends.
  • Physical ability to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
  • Strong leadership qualities with a desire to lead by example. Can work amicably with other Bakers or Deli Prep team members.
  • Love drinking coffee…. Ok this isn’t a requirement but if you don’t enjoy coffee, we want you to at least be open to learning about it.

Compensation

Salary range: $40,000 – $45,000 per year
