Sip on a Honey Bee Latte in May to support local kids camps + organizations!

This month we are featuring the:

Honey Bee Latte

The Honey Bee Latte is a celebration of the warmer weather and all things Spring! It combines locally sourced, raw honey with creamy French vanilla and the light, floral touch of lavender. It’s topped off with whipped cream and raw sugar crystals.

Enjoy this drink hot, iced, or blended!

During the month of May, you’ll have the chance to support three local organizations making an impact on our communities. Read a little more about each one below.

Morton: For the third year in a row, Royal Family Kids Camp is coming to Peoria! RFK is a one-week summer camp where foster kids can belong, have fun, and enjoy many typical childhood experiences. This is a national organization, but they’re the first chapter for the greater Peoria area. This camp allows kids ages 6-12 in foster care to be in a safe and supportive community for a week, while at the same time blessing foster families with a time of respite.

Camp is also an important time for many campers as it often unites siblings who are not currently living with each other. $1 from each Honey Bee Latte sold at the Morton Shop will help Royal Family Kids Camp bless a group of foster children in our area. We’re excited to partner with the RFK team as they continue this work. To learn more about this terrific mission and see more volunteer opportunities, visit their website!

Tremont + Mackinaw:
Bumps2Babies is an annual event hosted by the Tazewell County Health Department with the goal of educating families in Central Illinois. Bringing together local resources for new and expectant parents, this event features educational topics like breastfeeding instruction, car seat tutorials, tips for healthy pregnancies, etc. Participants can enter to win giveaways for prizes like pack-n-plays, diaper bags full of necessities, and more!

Bumps2Babies is happening June 22nd from 10am to 12pm at the Fon Du Lac Park District Building. Learn more + register through their Facebook event page!

Metamora: Our recipient at the Metamora shop is the Friends of Woodford County IL Feral Cats organization.

Their volunteer programs work to humanely reduce the overpopulation of feral cats in our area through education and a Trap-Neuter-Vaccinate-Release (TNVR) program. They love to educate and engage our communities about the downsides to feral cats, including higher rates of rabies transmission, poor quality of life for these animals, and the disruption of our natural wildlife by this invasive predator.

Founded just over a year ago, Friends of Feral Cats was able to spay/neuter and vaccinate nearly 400 cats in our community. Using average litter sizes, that means they were able to prevent the births of 1900 kittens! To learn more and get involved, visit their Facebook page.
