October Donation Creation

Spooky Season’s perfect pairing – a latte fit for Dracula, with ribbons of raspberry dipping down a white chocolate and almond latte.

This month we are featuring the:

DracuLatte

It’s Spooky Season! The DracuLatte ushers in the Halloween vibes with creamy white chocolate, raspberry, and almond with ribbons of raspberry puree dripping down the cup, topped with real whipped cream and dark chocolate drizzle. Enjoy it hot, iced, or blended!

During the month of October, you’ll have the chance to support three local organizations making an impact in your community. Read a little more about each one below.

Morton: We Care, a division of TCRC, Inc. is widely known throughout our area for its wheelchair accessible transportation.  Under the We Care umbrella are incredible services like Meals on Wheels, a home delivered meal service to Morton residents, a food pantry, and medical equipment to loan through their Loaners Closet.

If you’d like to learn more about We Care and their many services offered to Tazewell and Woodford county residents, you can visit them on their website.

Tremont: Proceeds from each DracuLatte sold at the Tremont shop will be given to the Tremont Commerce Association to help offset the costs of lighting downtown Tremont for the 2nd annual Tremont Hometown Christmas event. The event last year was a roaring success, thanks in large part to the charm of the lights! Twinkly lights on buildings, up lampposts, and through the trees on Sampson Street added to the ambiance of the event.

The costs of lighting up the downtown area this season are more than $15,000, and the TCA is seeking donors large and small to help defray that expense. We’re excited to spread the word about the event and encourage others to join us in lighting up our downtown! Learn more about the event here.

Metamora: Proceeds from each DracuLatte sold at the Metamora shop will be given to Unified Redbirds, a group at MTHS focused on creating opportunities for one-on-one friendships and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). They were a Donation Creation recipient last year, and here’s what they had to say about the impact your generosity had!

“Unified Redbirds are grateful for the support during last year’s donation creation! With the money they received, they were able to organize a Unified Basketball game against the Washington Unified team and pay for a team meal for all of the athletes to enjoy together! They also used funds to make friendship bracelets that were sold during Inclusion Week to raise money for Easterseals! Thank you for continuing to support our cause– bringing friends, fun, and inclusion to everyone at MTHS.”
